Maybe it is a good idea to write which time-zone is the actual one, to avoid disappointments. Wink

Yes, I have been careless about the timezones - I momentarily forgot that CET is not the same as GMT.

I think the best solution now is to have it both ways: the contest will start at 0:00 CET (Friday 23:00 GMT) and end at 24:00 GMT (Monday 1:00 CET).

you mean "0:00 CET (Friday 23:00 GMT) and end at 24:00 CET (Sunday 23:00 GMT)", don't you?

I think he meant it like he wrote.
In the instructions is written that the competition starts at 00:00 GMT and ends 23:59 GMT. But on the webpage there is only 00:00 and 23:59 without time zone. Organizers probably meant CET time zone on the page. So this is the best solution of this problem Smile

Start at 0:00 CET (Friday 23:00 GMT) - it's better with 1 hour sooner because 24:00 GMT is 01:00 CET

End at 24:00 GMT (Monday 1:00 CET) - it's also better because there is 1 hour more

The whole contest will be open for 49 hours as I can see Smile
As I know players the are not very familiar with time zones Funnytongue

Hello everyone,

Sudoku "Standard 20" has the highest point at the points table. (23)

I just want to know that what is the difficulty of Standard puzzles and also other puzzles?

Is the difficulty of all puzzles "easy" and "medium", Or some puzzles have the higher difficulty as "hard" or "vhard" ?

When we look at the points of other puzzles, 23 points for a standard Sudoku I think is a little high.

We are wistful of seeing German puzzles. The standard puzzle at the practicing booklet was very nice. I've never seen a standard puzzle with only 17 digits!!

SiBer: you're right...

Dear guests, if you want to participate in the third round of the WPF Sudoku Grand Prix, you have to follow these steps : register yourself, login (on the bottom left) and open the contest-site. The contest will start at Saturday 0:00 CET (Friday 23:00 GMT) and end at Sunday 24:00 CET (Sunday 23:00 GMT). If you want to test the procedure, you can participate in the trainings-contest. Good luck!

I will speak with uvo if he wants to change the time slot. In the contest-site the 'old' time schedule is described (as written above)

Exactly, the contest will be open for 49 hours. I haven't been able to update the contest page recently, but I will do that soon.

"Standard 20" is worth the most points because, in the view of the puzzle author and the test solvers, it is the most difficult puzzle. The points for each puzzle should reflect the difficulty - of course, your opinion may differ from ours.

Aside from this, I will not answer questions about the difficulty of the puzzles. Whether the puzzles are easy, medium or hard, you will find out when you solve them.
