I think it’s a very nice new variant for a familiar puzzle type. But for me it shouldn’t be less fun if the instructions were published straight away. Every variant of a puzzle type leads to new solving methods, and it’s nice to figure out how it works. I have a lot of experience in solving logic puzzles, but I learnt a lot of new things in the portal here the last few weeks!
That is in fact an important argument against my position: A new variant which I think to be very cool can not be enjoyed by everyone because they don't understand the hint. But I honestly don't see a way around that which still gives the "meta-puzzlers" a chance to try their luck.

In English as it maybe also addresses Richard:
I agree that the comments weren't that harsh or numerous as they were at the "Innen und Außen" puzzle. Still there reason why I caved in so quickly:
a) I created my first puzzle 2-3 weeks ago. I simply don't have the confidence (yet) to say "That's the way the puzzle is. Live with it!"
b) From the beginning I wasn't completely sure if the trick of this one would be too hard. I'm usually mistaken when I have to guess the number of stars for my puzzle. And that's even harder when there is a hint in it. Semax and Statistica first took this pressure from me. But contrarily to what I've hoped the comments didn't stop. So I came to the (probably wrong) conclusion that these were two lucky guesses...
Altogether I'm not very happy about the direction this one took and regret that I didn't have more confidence in my puzzle. But at least I got input about the general opinions on this topic and tips on how to maybe avoid those comments by a text containing the hints.
