the purple/gray rule is not phrased clearly: do different type of shape not like each other, or the same type not like the others of same type, or no shapes like any other shapes at all? maybe phrase it as 'no region can contain both purple and gray (...) ' ?
the solution code should be explained in its appropriate box, not in the rules... but i do get why you did that here. and lastly: some people on this site are easily annoyed about complicated solution codes... which in turn annoys me, so you do as you likebut don't be surprised if people complain...
anyway that's just my two cents, i havent even solved the puzzle yet...
Thank you once again for giving me your opinion. After researching what chaos construction was I DID change my rules to include it, instead of "Region Rebuilding", but I changed it back as I didn't really think it FIT.
The way my puzzle is made, is so that the solver has to fill out the numbers THEN to get the code to ACTUALLY complete the puzzle, they need to create the regions and extract certain numbers. Unless I'm being dense, I think the way I have made it SEEMS to be the best way to give the digits and have them in an order such there is NO discrepancy. If I didn't ask for them to be in size order, I would've made it so they have to do it the top-leftmost box of each region, where each digit is given in order, row by row... To me, that doesn't seem as good - If people can't be bothered to get 9 digits and put them in size order... It's probably for the best - as I would rather them not complete the puzzle, just to complain in the comments.
I also didn't want to make it so that is was just a row or column, because people would cheat, and then call it bad design, by saying things like "I didn't even make the regions and I was able to input the code" ... that would annoy me, so I wanted to avoid that.
I'm happy with how the puzzle is currently but if you have any suggestions, I would love to hear them. The only thing bugging me currently, is I have no way of knowing if the region building part has 1 solution... I went through it MANY times and every time I saw something with more than 1 option, I made changes... I THINK it should be good... I hope.
Thanks again. Your input is always very helpful
