That ruleset is a standard ruleset called a chaos construction and usually you would be expected to be solving for the region locations and the digits either at the same time, or regions first. this one is only different in that you expect the digits to get filled before the regions, which is unusual but doesn't make it not a chaos construction, just a strange instance of one. although it probably is a good idea to indeed mention that expectation since it is unusual, and otherwise people might think the regions aren't a true part of the solution as long as you have the digits.
the purple/gray rule is not phrased clearly: do different type of shape not like each other, or the same type not like the others of same type, or no shapes like any other shapes at all? maybe phrase it as 'no region can contain both purple and gray (...) ' ?
the solution code should be explained in its appropriate box, not in the rules... but i do get why you did that here. and lastly: some people on this site are easily annoyed about complicated solution codes... which in turn annoys me, so you do as you like
but don't be surprised if people complain...
anyway that's just my two cents, i havent even solved the puzzle yet...
