Hmm, I'm not sure the matter can wait this long. As Richard said, the number of daily uploads did even further increase. If this trend continues, by the time the member assembly will take place in November, another thousand 1-2 star sudoku puzzles will have been uploaded to the portal ... drowning everything else in the process.
At this point, I'd rather install some sort of upload limit at least as a temporary measure to give us some room to breathe and debate and make an informed decision about the portal's future. Maybe I am alone in this, but I would think this the better alternative compared to keep letting excited newcomers upload dozens of more or less generic puzzles and then - depending on what's being decided in November - force them to take down a large chunk of their material. That IMO would be more frustrating than forcing them to pace themselves for the time being.
