German Translation/ Looking for Solvers Intrested in Very Difficult Sudoku Variant

Good Morning!

I recently created a puzzle I'm very proud of and wanted to share with this community (from whom I've played and enjoyed so many puzzles via Cracking The Cryptic). It was finished in a collaboration with The Pi Guy. It was tested on the CTC Discord, so I'm confident it is solvable and also very difficult.

Since this is the first puzzle I'm publishing on Logic Masters, I wanted to ask if I should request a German translation or leave it as is? Do people generally just publish puzzles in their native language or do most people create translations?

In addition (if this isn't taboo or rude), I was hoping some solvers who enjoy VERY DIFFICULT puzzles wouldn't mind giving it a try! I think there is one sort of magical moment, but the break-in is also just lots of fun.
If you like arithmetic, hexadecimal, or counting digits, I think you'll enjoy it
Puzzle 000S6H

Code:

Rules
Normal Sudoku rules DON'T apply. Place the digits 1-9 such that no row, column, box, or cage contains a repeated VALUE.
Digit values
• The digit 1 has a value of either 1 or 10.
• The digit 5 has a value of either 5 or 15.
• The digits 1 and 5 appear 8 times for each of their respective values.
• All other digits have a value equal to their digit and appear 7 times each.
Other clues (XV, White Dots, Cage)
• The values of adjacent cells marked with an X sum to 10 (standard rules). EXACTLY ONE X CLUE IS MISSING.
• The values of adjacent cells marked with a V sum to either 5 or 15. Not all V clues are necessarily given.
• The values of adjacent cells marked with a white dot have a difference of 1. Not all dots are necessarily given.
• The values in the cage sums to the number in the top left of that cage.

Mod 15
In this puzzle, all sums that are more than 15 and can be written as x plus a multiple of 15 simplify to x, where x is a number from 1-15. Below are some examples:

• 6 + 10 = 16. 16 can be written as 1 + 15, so the sum simplifies to 1.
• 6 + 7 + 8 + 9 = 30. 30 can be written as 15 + 15, so the sum simplifies to 15.
• 3 + 6 + 7 + 8 + 9 = 33. 33 can be written as 3 + 30, so the sum simplifies to 3.
Note: Solvers may find it easier to use ‘A’ and ‘F’ for the values of 10 and 15, just remember to convert them back into 1 and 5 at the end of the puzzle!

(if people tell me asking for solvers is simply not done here, I'm happy to be educated on that and edit/delete this thread!)

I fully agree with this comment, but I'm not sure how to do this. Can anyone give me guidance on this. I primarily use sudokumaker.com to construct my puzzles, so my first guess is that I need to use the custom constraint feature, but I haven't used that before and I don't really know where to start with it.

Hello everyone,

I need help with co-creating a puzzle for which there is a break-in.

The puzzle looks like follows (at the moment)

After some SET magic the break-in looks as follows

All constraints are standard at this point. But after this I'm stuck and unable to construct a smooth and logical continuation

If you have an interest in co-creation, let me know, I'll explain the details if needed.

Thank you for your interest.

Hellooo,
I recently posted a puzzle on LMG: https://logic-masters.de/Raetselportal/R...?id=000PXE

For my standard this puzzle received a very low rating, and I found this quite surprising. I can usually tell by how much fun I had designing the puzzle, how fun it would be to solve. And this one basically designed itself; so I expected it to be a smooth solve too. It's also a sequel of sorts to a puzzle that indeed was very popular.

I'm not writing this to complain. I hope someone could give some feedback. Clearly I'm not seeing something and it's shook my confidence a little.

I recently created and posted a puzzle online. I was looking back at it and kind of regret how I set it up.

I was wondering if someone can take a look at it, as well an alternative, and give me their opinion. These are basically the same puzzles and the differences are in the break-in. The break-in in my opinion, is easiest in my original puzzle, and less obvious in the new one. The break-in revolves around determining the very center digit. In the first puzzle, with some trial and error, you can fairly easily guess the center digit. This is not how I wanted that digit found. I think the second forces you to determine this digit in the method that I wanted. The first puzzle uses a lot of variables for the killer cage sums, the updated one uses no variables.

I did make a note in the first version that clarifies that guessing the center digit is not required, which kind of indicates that that's not the method I want the solver using.

I would appreciate any opinions, and if you want to know how to break it in, I can provide that information. I'm not super familiar with posting here, so I don't know how to include text that reveals itself once you click on it. My apologies for that.
If someone has a recommendation for a title for this puzzle, please toss it out. I have a few ideas, but nothing that's really sticking with me. Right now I have it set to "Digits in a Knightless Kingdom".

I have been having difficulty ranking the difficulty of my puzzles, so I am looking for someone to play through my latest puzzle and recommend a difficulty ranking for me. I'm leaning towards three stars. The rules are primarily killer cages and anti-knight, with a single black Kropki dot and a 3-cell modular line

Hallo.

https://sudokusphere.com
Danke euch fürs Ausprobieren!

I have made my first puzzle, but I want to make sure that it works. I'm wondering if anybody would be willing to play test it.

https://sudokupad.app/bvitzg9ddc

I don't know how I would rate the puzzle, I might rate it a 2. I think there are times that you have to hold a couple things in mind, but nothing too severe.

Mostly I'm looking for feedback. Do my rules make sense, does the puzzle have a unique solution, does it play well, and does my difficulty rating feel right? I would love any feedback, especially criticisms that can help me improve my setting skills.

I attached an image of an example of the non-standard variant rules that I used. I think my explanation is clear, but hopefully the picture clears up any confusion

I think there is likely a couple of clues that are unnecessary, but I wanted them there to go with the theme of the puzzle.

(Edit: I forgot that I needed to include an extra constraint in the puzzle, so I updated the link. The major change is that the red circle on the red line is now a red square and requires an even digit. This means my example might look a little different than my puzzle)

(Second edit: I took a second look at the puzzle, and I think it's possible in its previous form. I'll post the original link I had here. https://sudokupad.app/chq7pajy8a )

I have had much fun solving sudoku puzzles, and the other day I had an idea for one. Unfortunately, I have never made a puzzle before. When I was reviewing the "Instructions for setting puzzles" page on Logic-Masters, it says that the sudoku must be inserted in HTML format, with a link that seemingly goes to a tutorial page. However, it appears that that page can not be reached. Is there a new tutorial page, or a location that you would recommend beginners go to for creating puzzles? Also, is there a way that you recommend people check that there is only one solution beyond just attempting to solve it ourselves. Especially as this would be my first puzzle, I don't know how well I trust myself that I didn't make a mistake.

Hello, I've just set my first sudoku puzzle.

It takes inspiration from this game.
I would like feedback on the rules and difficulty level, before submitting it. Are the rules clear enough? Do they need rewording? I've also made a small training puzzle to show how the "plumbing" rules work. Beware that the rules on circles are different in both puzzles, but the main principle is the same.

Training puzzle:
https://sudokupad.app/nqk84snysd
Actual puzzle:
https://sudokupad.app/vdo3e2b0s6

(Rules and solutions included)

I'd probably rate the training puzzle as 1 star difficulty, and the actual puzzle as 3 or 4 stars. No bifurcation is required but it can be tricky to know where to look next. If you get stuck please let me know.
