Hello,
I'm a solo developer making puzzle games.
Recently, I made a small browser puzzle based on Fillomino-style rules. For now, I'm calling it "Ray Fillomino."
The basic idea is similar to Fillomino: you create regions whose sizes match the given numbers. The difference is that each region can only extend in a straight line vertically or horizontally from its numbered cell.
I'm not sure whether this type of rule already has a commonly used name in the puzzle community, so I'd be very interested to know if anyone recognizes it or knows of a similar existing puzzle.
I've also published a small set of 20 relatively easy puzzles on itch.io that can be played directly in the browser:
https://nanatsuki26.itch.io/ray-fillomino
If you try it, I'd also be very happy to hear any thoughts on how clear the rules are or how the puzzle feels to solve.
