Puzzling around the clock - in Budapest.

The unique Puzzle Marathon will be held again in Budapest, 9-10 May 2020. This will be the jubilee event. In this year Pál Madarassy will be in charge of puzzle director position.

Some basic information about the event: the schedule of the weekend will be the same as it's usual (see below).

There's a welcome dinner on Friday evening at 19:30 pm, and later we have a Q&A session, if you have unanswered questions (the IB will be published a week prior, and we're replying for your question in advance by e-mail, so normally this Q&A lasts only 30 minutes). On Saturday the championship starts at 10 AM.
On Sunday the solving time ends at 10 AM, and there's an award ceremony at 11:30 AM, which is followed with the farewell lunch.

About your travelling to Hungary: please calculate 1,5 hours for your transit between the hotel and the airport, and give also an hour for the security and passport control at the airport (if you have not just a hand luggage, another 30 minutes for check-in your baggage), so the earliest departure should not be earlier than 3 PM (Budapest local time).

The fees are: 200 Euros in double room and 250 Euros in single room. 50 Euros discount goes to the puzzle authors (if two person compile one set, it's 25-25/person).
The fee covers the transfers from/to the airport, T-shirt, some extra presents, meals, soft drinks, coffee, tea during the 24 hours and ... the puzzles of course
You can pay in cash during the championship.

Ich glaube dieses Jahr bin ich dabei - schön, dass der Termin so früh steht und auch nicht mit unseren eigenen Terminen kollidiert. Der Marathon ist dann eher eine Art "Trainingslager" vor den Logic Masters sechs Wochen später.

Ich bin ganz neidisch ... aber dieses Jahr schaffe ich es ganz bestimmt nicht. Trainieren muss ich allerdings auch nicht.

Dem Facebook Artikel ist leider nicht zu entnehmen, auf welchem Weg man mit Gyorgy in Kontakt treten soll. ich habe zwar sein Facebook Konto gefunden, aber auf eine vor vier Tagen gesendete Nachricht hat er bislang nicht reagiert. Die Termin liegt günstig, da Freitag sowieso Feiertag ist. Die Anreise ist zwar kompliziert (gibt wenig Flüge), aber ich komme trotzdem! 
Ich fahre dieses Jahr mal Zug.

Ich war noch nie in Budapest und habe deshalb noch ein paar Tage drumgehängt,... werde jetzt von Mittwoch bis Montag da sein - also zwei Tage Budapest anschauen, am 24h Marathon teilnehmen, ausschlafen und noch was am Sonntag abend/Montag morgen unternehmen und dann Montag nachmittag zurückfliegen.

Die Rückflüge am Montag waren auch deutlich günstiger als am Sonntag.
