First of all: It’s not my intention to step on any one’s toes either. I like everybody’s efforts to create puzzles, and Calavera makes real nice ones. It’s more that I have spent two times a couple of hours in doubt, solving a puzzle that leads to a solution, which seems not to be the right one. Why? Not because I am not smart enough to solve it, but because I couldn’t figure out what the meaning of the author was. Quite a few thoughts have crossed my mind, and none of them was right. And I wonder if I would have ever come across the instructions as they are now published in the forum. I think it’s a very nice new variant for a familiar puzzle type. But for me it shouldn’t be less fun if the instructions were published straight away. Every variant of a puzzle type leads to new solving methods, and it’s nice to figure out how it works. I have a lot of experience in solving logic puzzles, but I learnt a lot of new things in the portal here the last few weeks!
I know it’s my own choice to try a puzzle in the portal or not. But since I like logic puzzles and I want to explore the boundaries of what I can, I try every puzzle. This one was very inviting, with a lot a given digits, and it could be solved till the end without extra constraints.
The puzzle portal is a place where fortunately a lot of different puzzles (types as well as difficulty) can be found. I like that. Also puzzles without instructions belong in the portal, but I like them a lot better the way Berni described. I really enjoyed the puzzles like Geometrie, Traumaufzeichnung, Masyu and Innen oder aussen, but all of them provided extra information on the instructions within the puzzle itself, or hidden in the given instructions. Or: the puzzle ran quickly into contradiction if solved in the normal way (Rundweg für freaks; Eiskalte magnettplatten) and that helped to get started.
So far my opinion. And like one of my favorite rock bands once wrote: it's just a point of view.
Kind regards, Richard

Was ich bei solchen Rätseln allerdings immer mache, ist einen Text dazu zu schreiben, der versteckte Hinweise enthält. Ich glaube, das ist psychologisch besser, weil man sonst so garnichts hat, an dem man sich festhalten kann...
