I don't know how I would rate the puzzle, I might rate it a 2. I think there are times that you have to hold a couple things in mind, but nothing too severe.
Mostly I'm looking for feedback. Do my rules make sense, does the puzzle have a unique solution, does it play well, and does my difficulty rating feel right? I would love any feedback, especially criticisms that can help me improve my setting skills.
I attached an image of an example of the non-standard variant rules that I used. I think my explanation is clear, but hopefully the picture clears up any confusion
I think there is likely a couple of clues that are unnecessary, but I wanted them there to go with the theme of the puzzle.
(Edit: I forgot that I needed to include an extra constraint in the puzzle, so I updated the link. The major change is that the red circle on the red line is now a red square and requires an even digit. This means my example might look a little different than my puzzle)
(Second edit: I took a second look at the puzzle, and I think it's possible in its previous form. I'll post the original link I had here. https://sudokupad.app/chq7pajy8a )
Hello Merdock,
I've solved your puzzle and its great. For a first set you did a good job.
Im no setter myself, maybe in the future, but here goes my impressions:
Difficulty: original between 3 and 4 stars. Version without the even clue: 4 stars.
And one good point was the smooth way through the solve, always a bit challenging but never too hard.
The description of the rules could be improved, at first it was a bit confusing.
And if its possible to allow notes outside the grid in the greek letters would be great too.
