Thanks for your answer! My question was meant to be a bit more about whether/what kind of computer assistance is allowed to be used in order to find my solution. Some suggestions what I mean/what might or might not be allowed:

a) It is allowed to use all software, including programs I write specifically for this problem.
b) I cannot write a program to solve it, but it is allowed to use help by available programs (for example in this problem, one might use an online sudoku solver to finde suitable sudoku configurations)
c) I cannot use any software but the given excel, but I might enhance this excel ( for example, put formulas in other cells that help me find good configurations
c.2) I might even enhance it with VBA code that automizes these Enhancements. This would already be a but like a)
d) I might use the given Excel but not change it in any way other than putting letters and numbers in for potential solutions
e) I should solve completly without computer assistance, even the given Excel, and solve it with pen and paper, just like a logic puzzle. I can only use the Excel to enter a solution, once I found a good one.

I was wondering which of a)-e) is closest to your idea of how the problems should be solved/approached
