That is a very interesting statistic!
It underlines what I have already noticed earlier: variants with calcultion in it are more popular and thus have a higher ranking.
86,5% as average rating is slightly lower than the rating for all my puzzles together, but I think some players simply don't like sudoku that much, in what form it may appear.
My list with possible variants is still veeeeeeery looooooong, so you can solve many more types in the coming years.
