My program told me that the password only allowed me to read, not to print. I know from my own contests that it is possible to set two different passwords for reading and printing, so that might be an easy mistake.
My only explanation why someone else could print this file is that he uses a software that ignores Adobes rules about password-protection and allows printing after receiving one password.
In any case Safari, Preview and Adobe Acrobat Professional all didn't want to allow me to print

However after downloading the new file everything worked fine and I enjoyed the contest a lot. It now took a little bit longer than I planned but it was worth it!
