Help with puzzle needed - Joseph - 29.02.2024 So i'm fan on CTC channel on YT and I decided to try myself in a puzzle. I tried today's puzzle with ID: 000H4T I came up with this solution, i cannot submit it but I also cannot see anything wrong here... Please help me out I also have issues with adding my attachment so I'll type solution 3/4/6/5/2/1 1/2/5/46/46/3 5/1/3/46/46/2 2/6/4/1/3/5 6/5/2/3/1/4 4/3/1/2/5/6 46 means that I can put either 4 or 6 Please help me out it's my first solved puzzle... RE: Help with puzzle needed - CJK - 29.02.2024 I have just "solved" the said puzzle myself and I have to say that it is not the best puzzle to start with in the puzzle portal: First of all, in my opinion the rules are ambiguous at best (no little killer doubler; no mention of the "odd" killer) and, more importantly, the puzzle is highly non-unique (I have counted at least four solutions given the author's intention). Your solutions happens to be two of the other solutions that are correct (i.e. follow the authors intention), but just not the one he thought of. Unfortunately, there is no mechanism to stop authors from uploading non-unique puzzles in the portal, apart from the feedback after others (try to) solve their puzzles. If you want to be sure that puzzles are unique, you could for example search for puzzles that already have quite a few solvers. Also, for further reference: If you get stuck at a specific puzzle, the best place to ask for help is in the comment section below the given puzzle: You could for example leave a hidden comment (which only the author and people who already solved the puzzle can see). RE: Help with puzzle needed - CJK - 01.03.2024 It seems like I have been wrong alltogether: Your solution indeed is wrong, since the sum of the long diagonal is 16, which is not twice an odd number. I thought odd times 2 equals even... Thanks for replying |
