Better search functions are only part of the solution. That works for puzzles that do have a rating for beauty and/or difficulty.

One of the problems I have addressed is that some real gems that I have solved recently don't have such a rating because they are solved only a handful of times. And with the enormous flood, they will never get such a rating too, simply because there is a truckload of new puzzles published after it and they are lost in the crowd. Those puzzles will never be part of any statistic based on solved numbers.
