OAPC 5 - gulce - 07.05.2009

The 5th OAPC will be held in 23 May 2009, 14:30 GMT. The third saturday of this month there will be a puzzle contest among high schools in Istanbul, and we need to be there for helping with the organization. In order to not to change the saturday habit, we'll hold the contest at the fourth saturday, for this month. Details about the instructions will soon be announced, thanks for your comprehension.

@ gulce: Here a question to the Coralfinder: When you write "without any holes" - do you mean "they build a continous wall"?

I mean that an empty cell cannot be fully surrounded with blackened cells. And of course, they build a continuous wall.

RE: OAPC 5 - pin7guin - 21.05.2009

But how could you build a hole if the Coral "cannot touch itself, not even diagonally"?
How could you fully surround an empty cell with blackened cells with this rule?

See picture, this is not allowed. We couldn'd decide whether this means touching itself or not , so we wrote holes are forbidden Smile

edit: I looked once more and decided that the wall in the picture is really touching itself Smile After dealing with so many puzzles I've lost my vision to see things easily Smile
